What does that tag line mean anyway? Well, to you it might mean that I'm interested in much more than just the bottom line or the balance sheet. Or it might also mean that there's more to your business than revenue, ROI and net present values.

But for me, my tag line is all about transitioning. You see, four years ago I ran a small full-service accounting firm with a staff of five. Today I operate a one-person home-based business with clearly-defined service offerings. Oh sure, I know what you're thinking. "You call that progress? Aren't businesses supposed to grow?" Well maybe that's the traditional (read 'outdated') view of business. My belief is that businesses have to change - and change doesn't necessarily mean growth. In fact, what's really important (and what most people seem to have forgotten) is that growth for growth's sake is very often counter-productive.

My even more important belief is that your business should always be meaningful. Meaningful to whom? Well meaningful to you, of course. So, if you find that your business just isn't lighting your fire anymore, then it's probably time for a "meaningfulness reality check."
